Poynton is a small town in the northwest of England which sits astride the A523 London Road between Stockport and Macclesfield.
Once a coal mining village. Poynton has grown to a small town with a population of some 20,000 people and is a popular dormitory
area with many of its inhabitants commuting to Manchester, Stockport and Macclesfield.
